$$ Birthdays with no hassle

There are SO many opportunities now for a child to celebrate a birthday however they want. Sometimes it's harder on the pocketbook, sometimes on the nerves...

Here are a few of the $$$ ideas...

A bounce house One can be rented for around $150-250. Sometimes you get it for a few hours, sometimes for the whole weekend. THESE are GREAT parties. The kids come and jump their hearts out, come out for water, and are crying to get back in there! No entertainment needed, and probably cupcakes and water would do for food.

Bounce house businesses are popping up all over as well. Pump It Up, Bouncing Around, Bounce Planet, etc. Check out the phone book.

Can't find one? Check out the local gymnastics places. Often they have GREAT parties that wear out the kids!

Salon parties: Many places offer these now. A chance for your little girls to glisten. Sometimes doing their hair, sometimes their nails, sometimes makeup. A chance to be the princess. Justice, a clothing store offers these, as well as Libby Lu, and local salons. www.snipits.com is another option to look up.

Science parties: Childrens' Museums, Science Centers, even come-to-your-home science parties. These allow the kids to get hands on experience with awesome science experiments. Make your own silly putty, or slime, or mentos in diet coke, blow up a balloon with baking soda and vinegar, make your own chiseling items with old coffee grounds - allowing the kids the chance to find hidden treasures.

Stuffed Animals: Build a Bear, or www.friends2bemade.com or now there are even places in the mall where you can make CARS!

Restaurants: Check out your favorite places to eat. Ice Cream shops often allow little parties to make your own sundaes, or pizza places like www.unos.com let you make your own pizza, or have tours of the kitchens. http://www.youngchefsacademy.com lets your child be the chef. There are also places like www.mygirlfriendskitchen.com and www.dreamdinners.com

Theaters Don't overlook the local movie theater, or skating rink, or bowling alley. These are all goldmines as well.
